I'm Ilyas and currently I am leading design at Foliage, where I help engineers wrangle the chaos of data center infrastructure into something they actually want to look at. Ten years in, I've found my niche at the messy intersection of dense data and human attention spans: observability tools, data-rich tables, the kind of B2B interfaces most people don't know exist. I started out as a UX researcher, then moved to a technical PM role, which is probably why I get unreasonably excited about edge cases and naming conventions. Off the clock, I'm usually building something in React or Three.js, or mixing AI tools just to see what will come out of this, lifting heavy things on a schedule, or rewatching The Expanse for reasons I can no longer justify.
